Click Above to Watch Brian’s Afternoon Market Update I saw my first field where the soybeans had been harvested here Saturday. That was obviously an early maturity. Our soybeans were later maturity and are green yet with just a tinge of yellow. Silage harvest has begun as well. All of this is at least a week or more ahead of normal. Then again, both our corn and soybeans went in record early. We think that our soybeans have 75 bpa potential. I am expecting a record US soybean yield this year. I have not given up on a 54 bpa final US yield. USDA did not lower the soybean yield in Fridays WASDE report as many expected. We planted the earliest ever in narrow rows, they came up quickly with an even stand. They got fungicide. I believe that they were the cleanest soybeans we have ever had too. The hot dry July stressed soybeans which can actually be good for them. They handled the heat wave using subsoil moisture. Then they were given a drink. Temps warmed again but then we had…
