In recent reports I have outlined how, should the US create a “Golden Dome”, ostensively to protect the US from a nuclear attack, that it would upset the protection that “mutual assured destruction” gave the us for several decades that deterred any nuclear power from executing a nuclear attack on another. An exchange of nuclear weapons would obliterate the world. The Golden Dome, appropriately named for how much it would cost, would upset the balance stalemating nuclear powers if it gave the US unequal protection from nuclear missiles that our “enemies” could not also deploy.
