Markets are pausing after their recent, sharp fund-led selloffs, as traders wait on the next market-moving news. That may not come until USDA’s June 30 Acreage and Quarterly Grain Stocks Reports, as weather has both bullish and bearish aspects, and the geopolitical environment has calmed. Back-and-forth trade is likely unless there’s a catalyst for either bulls or bears ahead of June 30. Both reports on that day could provide fireworks that spark the next trending move in corn and soybeans. While there are global weather concerns for wheat, that market is fighting seasonal pressure tied to increased harvest activity.
