The USS Abraham Lincoln carrier battle group is now on station in the Arabian Sea. The USS Ford battle group has been recalled from rest and refit back to the Mediterranean to join with the Lincoln in theater by Sunday. The Ford had extended its tour for duty for the Venezuela mission in the Caribbean and barely made it back to port in Norfolk before it got orders to redeploy again as tension rose with Iran. The USS Theodore Roosevelt was in port on the west coast on February 9th and is missing on the current tracker on February 17th. Wonder where it went? Members of Congress say that the war doesn’t start without Roosevelt. I hope that the crew situation of the Navy has improved or otherwise with so many battle groups deployed, with tours of duty being extended and extended, the sailors are overworked and spread thin. They used to keep crews dedicated to a ship but then began moving crews or portions of crews from one carrier battle group to another during new deployments.
