It seems to many that President DJT is constantly moving the goalposts but that is our perception not his. He knows where they are set in his mind while we are left to conjecture. The US military budget was last set near $1 trillion annually, near equal to what China and Russia spend combined, but that will not accomplish what he wants it to do. He upped the ante as he has discovered what it costs for the military to accomplish the missions he intends for it, to a stated “$1.5 trillion” annually. (No inflation…right?) Golden Fleet… Golden Dome…missiles, drones and P47s cost a lot of money. The US Navy had what Ward Carrol says were 3 regions of responsibility in which Naval task forces are deployed around the world. They included the Mediterranean, Mid-East and Pacific. He says that the Navy was being stretched to cover those missions keeping 3-4 aircraft-carrier battle groups deployed at one time. They were extending deployments and overlapping them which put strain on logistics and personnel. Then the president added another region, which was done with the Caribbean, the Ford battle group was moved and deployed there. That extended their mission adding stress…
